Tashi Green Exports Pvt. Ltd. was born out of a simple yet powerful realization — that some of the most nutritious superfoods in the world are grown right in our backyard, often overlooked, under-promoted, and underutilized.

The idea didn’t come from a boardroom or market research deck. It came from our family kitchen, where Makhana has always held a special place. From fasting rituals to evening snacks, it was a staple. But we began asking — why is something so healthy and versatile not reaching every Indian home?

Our curiosity turned into action when we visited local markets and spoke with traders and shopkeepers who struggled with inconsistent supply, packaging issues, and lack of awareness among consumers. This pushed us to travel to the source — the wetlands of Mithilanchal, Bihar, where Makhana is traditionally cultivated.

There, we spent time with farmers, listening to their stories, observing how painstakingly Makhana is harvested, and understanding the supply chain bottlenecks. One such workshop turned into a pivotal moment. Farmers shared their concerns about market access, fair pricing, and recognition of their craft. We left not only inspired — but determined.

We decided to build something bigger — a brand that not only delivers premium-quality Makhana to the Indian and global markets, but also uplifts the farmers and honors the region’s heritage.

Tashi Green Exports became our formal vehicle to pursue this vision, and Tashi Naturals became the brand that would represent everything we stood for: purity, honesty, and wellness.
